March 10, 2011 Meeting

The March 10, 2011 membership meeting will be held at the regular place, Old Denton Twp. Hall in Prudenville, at 1pm, instead as planned at the Houghton Lake Library. The April 11, 2011 meeting will be at the Houghton Lake Library at 1pm, with member Nancy Bonified doing a presentation on FamilySearch.org.

December 9, 2010 Christmas Meeting

December 9, 2010 meeting is our annual Christmas Dinner meeting. We start eating at 12noon, followed by open discussion. Please bring a dish to pass.

The June 11, 2009 Meeting will be about Family Treemaker. As always, the general public is welcome to attend.

The May 2009 Meeting Topic will be Ancestry.com website. There will be laptops available to demonstrate this program.

This month we will be discussing the many uses of "Google" for doing Genealogy research.

February 2009 Meeting Topic

The speaker will be Dan Fishell, Editor/Publisher for the Roscommon Magazine. He is also a historian and author.

Dan will be telling us about his research experiences in Roscommon County.

January 8, 2009 Meeting

The January 8, 2009 meeting topic is Family Tree Maker software program. Please join us at the Houghton Lake Public Library at 1:00pm to see a demonstration of this very popular genealogy program.

October 9, 2008 Meeting Topic

The October meeting will have a guest speaker. Dave Fultz will be talking about Charlton Heston, who once lived in St. Helen.

Our Center now has hi-speed internet service. We also have the Ancestry.com World Edition Program, to help you find your Ancestors worldwide. Volunteers are available Wednesdays from noon till 4pm and also by appointments, at the Center, to help you with your research.
